UGC Pitch Examples That Actually Get Replies (And the Ones That Get Deleted)
I spent years on the brand side of the inbox, receiving hundreds of emails a month from creators asking for trade, sponsorships, and UGC deals. Almost all of them went to the trash.
Not because the creators lacked talent. Because the pitches were about the creator, not the business.
Here's what years of deleting pitches taught me, with real examples you can adapt today.
The pitch that gets deleted
Hi! I'm a UGC creator and content creator with a passion for travel! I'd LOVE to collaborate with your amazing brand! I think we'd be a perfect fit. Check out my portfolio and let me know if you'd like to work together! 💕
Why this dies in seconds:
It mentions zero facts about the business. It could be sent to anyone, and the owner knows it. "Collaborate" is vague, so the owner has to do the work of figuring out what's being offered. And there's no concrete next step that's easy to say yes to.
The formula that gets replies
Every pitch that ever made me stop and reply had the same three parts:
- One specific observation about the business (proof the creator actually looked)
- One concrete offer (a named package, not "content")
- One easy ask (low-commitment, one sentence)
Keep it between 75 and 125 words. Email response research consistently favors short messages, and busy owners don't read past the first paragraph anyway.
Example 1: Local tour company
Hi Maria,
I found Blue Heron Kayak Tours and noticed something: your reviews are fantastic, and so many mention being nervous before the trip. But nothing on your site or Instagram shows a first-timer what those first 15 minutes actually look like.
I create short vertical videos businesses use on their own Instagram, TikTok, Google profile, and website. For you, I'd suggest a simple 3-video starter: a what-to-expect video, a customer-POV paddle, and a quick "is this for me?" video.
Want me to send 3 ideas specific to your tours?
The observation came straight from their own reviews. The offer is a named, sized package. The ask takes five seconds to say yes to.
Example 2: Boutique hotel
Hi Daniel,
I was checking out The Wren Hotel and the property has a strong look, but your Instagram is mostly still photos. There's an opportunity to show the actual guest experience in motion: arrival, the rooftop at golden hour, the neighborhood coffee walk.
I create UGC-style vertical videos hotels use across Instagram, TikTok, paid social, website, and email. A simple starter would be 3 videos: an arrival/feel-of-stay Reel, an amenities highlight, and a perfect-weekend video.
Happy to send a few tailored ideas if that's useful.
Notice what's missing: any mention of a free stay. Leading with perks is the fastest way to sound like you want a vacation, not a client.
Example 3: Vacation rental
Hi Priya,
I came across your A-frame listing and the property is stunning, but the photos don't show how the loft connects to the main space, and your local recommendations only live in the guidebook guests see after booking.
I create vertical video for vacation rentals: walkthroughs, amenity highlights, and local guide clips you can use on your direct-booking site, Instagram, and Google Business Profile.
A 3-video starter would cover the walkthrough, the hot tub and fire pit, and a "weekend nearby" guide. Want me to send ideas specific to your property?
What every winning example has in common
Read the three examples again and you'll notice they all name a business problem: nervous first-timers, static photos, unclear layout. Businesses don't buy "content." They buy fewer empty booking slots, less hesitation, and more direct bookings.
That's also why copying these templates word-for-word won't work. The observation has to be true about the specific business, which means doing ten minutes of research before writing a word.
